Opportunities for Elementary Students
Chess Club
District 191 schools have strong traditions of success among their chess clubs, including several state and national team championships. Coordinated by Brian Ribnick and run through One91 Community Education, all elementary schools have their own chess clubs.
Learning and playing chess is known to promote creativity and strategic thinking, and its a great opportunity for students to exercise their brains in a team and competitive atmosphere.

Inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
Computer club
Students begin to learn computer coding through individual and group projects.

Middle School
Middle school students have access to athletics and activities at their "home school," according to the District's boundary map. Please visit your school's website to learn more about athletics and activities available to your student.
High School
Students in grades 9-12 have access to athletics and activities offered at Burnsville High School (BHS).
The BHS Athletics & Activities Department strives for students to: have balance between competitiveness, enjoyment, and fulfillment; display excellence on the field, in the classroom, and in all personal relationships; and have courage to step out of their comfort zones in a safe environment to better themselves in all aspects of their lives and to make good decisions.
