Middle School
Aligned with state content standards and following our district's unique Pathways model, Secondary Virtual Academy provides age-appropriate learning opportunities that create a sense of wonder, interest and discovery in each and every student.
Middle school students in Virtual Academy experience more independence and flexibility in learning online each day with their teacher. While there is still "synchronous" (live) learning of all core classes, there is more "asynchronous" or independent learning and practice, which means fewer scheduled face-to face virtual meetings and more flexibility in student schedules.
In middle school, students engage in semester-long elective and exploratory classes, with opportunities for "WIN" (What I Need) time, enrichment experiences and intervention.
