Online elementary students will have learning opportunities aligned with all of our district's unique Pathways and will allow young scholars to explore a variety of themes and topics. Through embedded activities, events, and targeted exposure to all four pathways, our online elementary students will learn about the world through music, computer programming, virtual and in-person field trips to theaters and zoos, and project-based activities designed to spark new curiosities.
Elementary students in Virtual Academy experience live learning online each day with their teacher. In addition to live instruction in core classes, there is also "asynchronous learning," or independent work, assigned to students. This includes videos and other activities for students to watch and learn. During independent work, students complete work on their own.
Personalized instruction for students who need something different than the traditional school experience.
